James J. Fox
James J. Fox is an Emeritus Professor at The Australian National University (ANU). He was the convenor of the interdisciplinary Comparative Austronesian Project which was begun in the late 1980s as a major research focus at ANU. He has edited many of the volumes in the Comparative Austronesian series published by ANU Press, including the most recent volume, Expressions of Austronesian Thought and Emotions (2018). Professor Fox’s other recent publications are Explorations in Semantic Parallelism (2014) and Master Poets, Ritual Masters: TheArt of Oral Composition among the Rotenese of Eastern Indonesia (2016).
