Peer Review: Scholarly Research and Publishers Seminar

The inaugural Peer Review Seminar will feature conversations on the latest global trends and local matters in academic peer review.

Experts from across the research ecosystem will discuss peer review’s significance, to academia and the wider public, plus latest innovations being adopted.

Sessions include:

  • The Current State of Peer Review Globally
  • Peer Review: the Good, the Bad and the Ethical
  • Trust: Importance of Peer Review in a World of Censorship, Fake News and Alternative Facts
  • Digital Technology and Peer Review

Director of CSIRO Publishing, Andrew Stammer says, ‘The seminar is a rare networking and development opportunity for academic professionals and post-graduate research students on scholarly publishing. We’d love to see publishers, editors, researchers, research funding organisations, academic librarians, and of course, peer reviewers, to join in the discussions on the day. We invite everyone in research to send this information on to relevant networks’.

More informaiton about the seminar, including how to register, is available on the Australian Publishers Association website.
