Launch: Australian Journal of Biography and History, No. 2, 2019

The National Centre of Biography, at the ANU, in association with the Canberra and District Historical Society warmly invites you to celebrate the publication of the Australian Journal of Biography and History: No. 2, 2019. The journal will be launched by the Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO.

This special edition recognises some of the people who have made Canberra and its district the place we know and love. It includes articles on:

  • early settlement at Gundaroo
  • the first police constable at Limestone Plains
  • from Kythera to Canberra: Vince and Viola Kalokerinos and the Curtin Milk Bar
  • a biographical overview of Canberra and its people
  • a ‘good sheep station ruined’
  • Canberra’s military history and St John’s Anglican Church
  • Leslie John Dwyer, a Canberra photographer
